ABOUT STYLIST FRANCE
Stylist France launched in April 2013 as a 50-50 joint venture with Groupe Marie Claire, one of France’s leading publishing groups. Under the leadership of Gwenaelle Thebault, Stylist France leads the market as the only free women’s magazine in France, with over 400,000 copies being distributed every week in Paris and 8 other major cities.
Stylist France is produced by its own editorial team, led by Editor-in-Chief Aude Walker, who create entirely original content for their audience of young, professional French women from their base on Rue St Anne in the heart of Paris.
The magazine has the same mix of distinctive covers, fashion, beauty and challenging features as the original British brand, but with its own columns, including Mauvaise Habitude written by Editorial Director, Audrey Diwan. The fashion and beauty teams are led by Belén Casadevall and Julie Levoyer.
The brand has won many awards, both for its concept and its content. Most recently, Stylist France won the SEPM Jury’s Choice award at the Relay Magazine of the Year Awards. The judges’ notes read:
“Stylist France breaks press conventions by making the highest quality available to everyone with impressive art direction and a great diversity in content. It has developed a real signature and clearly stands out from other titles. It is a pleasure to read.”
Stylist France works with a wide spectrum of commercial partners – Chanel, Dior, H&M, Guerlain, Hermes and Marc Jacobs, to name a few. Its creative advertising formats are especially popular; the ‘Street Theatre’ specials fuse print and sampling with outdoor advertising and have a striking impact on the streets of the major French cities.
Innovation is central to the brand and Stylist France regularly collaborates on exciting editorial and commercial projects. Stylist France has been guest-edited by Viktor & Rolf and Karl Lagerfeld, curated a pop-up shop with The Stackers and has hosted Stylist:Club, a nightclub gig in Paris that features fresh female music talent.
In May 2015 Stylist France launched La List – a daily email that is further developing Stylist’s relationship with its loyal audience.
