Digital Writer – Marketing

Shortlist Media is looking for a confident digital writer to join its digital marketing department. The successful candidate will have a meticulous eye for detail and the ability to work quickly and efficiently. The candidate will ideally have 1-2 years’ experience working in digital editorial, a good knowledge of current trends and a good understanding of target driven content.

Tasks and responsibilities

  • To write content required for all marketing activity
  • To proactively work with the Marketing Analyst to optimise all digital copy across marketing campaigns
  • To work with the wider marketing team to create relevant and engaging email marketing campaigns which aim to hit retention marketing goals
  • To work with the Marketing Manager and eCRM Manager to continually develop and improve our email communications, identifying opportunities to implement new campaigns such as triggered email campaigns, reactivation and loyalty campaigns
  • To research and write editorial copy for new content opportunities, as directed by the eCRM Manager and Marketing Manager
  • To ensure copy is legally and factually sound

  • Ability to work calmly, quickly and efficiently to a very high standard
  • Organised when working to tight deadlines
  • Enthusiastic and passionate with an understanding of Shortlist Media’s brand portfolio
  • Self-motivated with the ability to use initiative and be proactive
  • Imaginative and creative – must be able to bring a variety of ideas to brainstorms for a range of subjects that fit within Shortlist Media’s brand portfolio
